Every Square Inch Ministries

For some time, I have been considering starting a nonprofit corporation to help support my ministry travel and expenses. Given the opportunities that are on the horizon, I decided it's time to start the process. Every Square Inch Ministries is now recognized by the State of Connecticut as a nonprofit corporation. Its purpose is to help me provide resources through research, writing, and teaching to support churches, Christian organizations, and religious institutions around the world. We are not officially a charitable organization yet, but once we complete a few other pieces of paperwork for the state, we will be applying for 501(c)3 status with the IRS, which will enable us to receive tax deductible gifts. This will make raising support for missions work and travel for research much easier. Stay tuned for further developments, and check out the resources on the website!

Every Square Inch Webpage

I've got a webpage up for my teaching and worldview ministry. It's at esquareinch.com, short for "Every Square Inch."  The name comes from a quotation from Abraham Kuyper: Oh, no single piece of our mental world is to be hermetically sealed off from the rest, and there is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: “Mine!" I'll be starting a 501(c)3 soon for Every Square Inch Ministries, but in the meantime, check out the site. It's got a bio, links to my books, supporting materials for Portals, links to audio and video resources and articles, and an event calendar, with more material being put up regularly. Check it out!

Announcing Portals: Entering Your Neighbor's World

My latest book is out. It's called Portals: Entering Your Neighbor's World. It's a brief introduction to the competing worldviews in America today written at the request of Chuck Colson a few years back. For the full story, click here. The book briefly summarizes seven worldviews using Chuck's four questions (Where did I come from? What's wrong with the world? What's the solution? What's my purpose?), and gives some suggestions about how to use the information in conversations with the people around you.

If there's enough interest, I may expand the book to cover other worldviews. For example, the section on Eastern Religions could be easily broken up into three or more separate chapters. I also plan to do a video series where I teach the worldviews, as well as a follow up video series on holding worldview conversations. Stay tuned here or on the Every Square Inch website for updates. And if you would be interested in hosting a seminar on worldviews, please let me know. Thanks!
