I don't remember who wrote this. I read a lot of documents from antiquity online. A lot from the Catholic Encyclopedia. It may have been Clement of Alexandria. In that case he would have said it was in either April or May.Alexnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6190224356229156559.post-53635143332391451612012-01-02T11:50:43.073-05:002012-01-02T11:50:43.073-05:00Shepherds were out in the fields at a number of po...Shepherds were out in the fields at a number of points during the year. I usually hear spring rather than September, but it's not at all clear that they couldn't have been out in the winter as well. We simply don't know. I don't think that point would exclude a December date, though from what I've read it does seem to make it less likely.glennsunshinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15663153768917258582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6190224356229156559.post-66296864015605015302011-12-31T14:54:51.100-05:002011-12-31T14:54:51.100-05:00All that is very interesting. These people argue that Jesus was rather born in September. What do you think of that theory ?Rébeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16744633042529121162noreply@blogger.com
